Queso con Carne Dip

Hearty dip for holiday parties!

Serves 10-15 / Prep Time: 5 mins / Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon Southwestern-style meat rub
  • 1 pound lean ground pork
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 jar Cookwell & Co. Queso con Salsa Escabeche
  • Your favorite corn tortilla chips

Directions

Season the ground pork to taste with the rub. Heat the vegetable oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. When oil is hot, add the seasoned meat and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Carefully drain off fat and return the skillet to medium heat.

 

Add the jar of Queso Escabeche and stir to blend well. Cook to heat through.

Serve in a chafing dish to keep warm alongside a basket of your favorite corn tortilla chips.

Optional: You can add chopped onions and/or sliced mushrooms while browning the meat for an even more flavorful dip!
