Chocolate-Pecan Bread Pudding in Bananas Foster Sauce

Sinfully decadent dessert – go for it!

Serves 6-8 / Prep Time: 20 mins / Cook Time: 30 mins

    • 1 loaf of French bread
    • 6 eggs
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1/2 cup Cookwell & Co. Bananas Foster Sauce
    • 2 cups whipping cream
    • 1 cup whole milk
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • Sauce:
    • 1 cup Cookwell & Co. Bananas Foster Sauce
    • 2 cups whipping cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray; set aside. Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and set aside.

In bowl of electric mixer, combine the eggs and sugar. Beat, beginning on low speed until sugar is blended, then increasing to medium-high, until the mixture is light and fluffy and lemon-yellow in color, about 5 minutes. Add cinnamon, vanilla, Bananas Foster Sauce, whipping cream, milk and salt; beat just to blend. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans.

Place the bread cubes in the bottom of the prepared baking dish and pour the batter over them. Stir to distribute chocolate chips and pecans. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until set.

While the pudding is baking, make the sauce. Combine the Bananas Foster Sauce and whipping cream in a small saucepan; stir to blend well. Bring to a boil, stirring often, then remove from heat and keep warm.

Cut the bread pudding into squares and serve warm, topped with a portion of the sauce.
