Decadent Bread Pudding

Bread pudding with a blast of banana – the best of both worlds!

Serves 6-8 / Prep Time: 10 mins  / Cook Time: 45 mins


    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    • 6 eggs, beaten
    • 2 teaspoons vanilla
    • 4 cups whipping cream, divided
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1 French baguette, cubed
    • 3/4 cup Cookwell & Co. Bananas Foster Sauce


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9- x 13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray; set aside.


Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a large bowl. Whisk the beaten eggs, vanilla, 2-1/2 cups of the cream, and milk together in a separate bowl. Whisk the cream mixture into the sugar; set aside.

Scatter the bread cubes in the bottom of prepared baking dish. Pour the egg batter over bread cubes and bake in preheated oven for about 35 minutes,or until golden brown and set.

While pudding is baking, combine the remaining whipping cream and Bananas Foster Sauce in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir to blend well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.

When the pudding is done, use a sharp knife to make slits in the top. Pour the sauce over the top and allow the pudding to sit for 5 minutes so the sauce can soak in before serving. Serve hot or warm.
