Green Chili Chicken & Dumplings

Will become a family favorite – and so effortless!

Serves 4-6 / Prep Time: 10 mins / Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cooked rotisserie chicken
  • 1 can buttermilk biscuits, uncooked
  • 1 jar Cookwell & Co. Two-Step Green Chile Stew Mix
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cup whipping cream
  • Salt ad black pepper to taste

 

Directions

Pull the meat and skin from the chicken; discard skin and bones. Set chicken aside.

Remove the biscuits from can and cut them into bite-sized pieces; set aside.

Combine the chicken and all remaining ingredients, except biscuits, in a 4-quart pot over medium-high heat. Season to taste with salt and black pepper. Cook, stirring often, until the mixture begins to boil.

Drop the biscuit pieces into the boiling liquid. Cook, stirring every two minutes, for a total of 8 minutes. Reduce heat to a bare simmer and cook gently for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot in shallow soup plates.
