Cajun Creole Shrimp

Prep time: 5 mins / Cook time: 5 mins / Serves 4

This Creole Shrimp one that is truly a 5 minute dinner. Seriously, it feels a bit silly to even write out the steps because it is so incredibly simple! Essentially, all you need to do is sauté some shrimp with the Bayou Brothers Creole Sauce, steam some rice, and voila! Dinner is served. This Creole shrimp is supremely savory, with all the spice and tang that we love about Cajun food. 


  • 1 lb. fresh shrimp 
  • 2 tbs. butter 
  • 1 tbs olive oil 
  • Bayou Brothers Creole Mix 
  • 1 cup white rice 
  • Green onions, sliced 
  • Hot sauce (optional) 


  • Heat butter and olive oil in a large Dutch oven or other large saucepan. Add shrimp and cook until they start to turn pink, about 2 minutes. 
  • Add in the jar of creole sauce and bring to a simmer. Shrimp should be cooked through at this point.
  • Divide rice among bowls and spoon in the shrimp & creole sauce. Garnish your creole shrimp with green onions and some hot sauce!
