Green Chile Mac & Cheese Recipe

Is there any food more nostalgic than mac & cheese? It’s a dish most of us grew up on, and continue to love to this day. If sometimes you still find yourself craving big bowl, but want something a bit more sophisticated than Kraft - then this recipe is for you. It’s still as simple as the boxed mac & cheese of our childhoods, but with a green chile twist. The Green Chile Stew adds a mild kick and yummy, roasted flavor that will take your mac above and beyond. Make this Green Chile Mac for your next party and be the MVP!

Ingredients

  •  1 lb. Velveeta or easy melt American cheese 
  • 1 jar Green Chile Stew
  • 1 lb. small elbow pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1.5 cups shredded sharp cheddar 

Directions

  • On the stovetop or in the microwave, melt the Velveeta and Green Chile Stew in a large bowl. Stir once melted.
  • Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to package instructions
  • Once cooked, pour the drained pasta into the Green Chile & cheese mixture.
  • Add in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
  • Pour the Mac & Cheese into a 9x13 baking dish and top with the shredded cheese
  • Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbling.
