Ingredients
- 1 Jar Cookwell & Company Carne Guisada Starter
- Olive oil
- 4 bone-in pork chops, about 1/2 inch thick
- 1/2 white onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 bell peppers, diced
- White rice, cooked
- Cilantro, for garnish (optional)
Directions
- Generously salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops.
- Set a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, and pour in about 2 Tbsp of olive oil.
- Brown pork chops on both sides, about 3 minutes per side.
- Remove pork chops from pan and set on a plate.
- Add the onion, bell pepper, and garlic into the pot. Add a little more oil if needed. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, until softened and slightly browned.
- Add the pork chops back into the pan along with the Carne Guisada Starter.
- Cover and simmer on low for about 45 minutes, or until pork chops are tender.
- Serve hot over a bed of white rice.
